As if the outside wasn’t cool enough, the inside is really worth checking out. You can’t help but notice the Alpine speakers and subwoofers adorning custom fabricated door and kick panels. The stereo system features two 10” Alpine subwoofers, six Alpine component speakers, and three Alpine amplifiers. The multitude of speakers sits amongst one of the best looking custom interiors we’ve ever seen. Every inch of the Scion’s interior is covered with black carbon fiber and Orion gray upholstery and even features a custom molded iPad dock which controls the entire vehicle through Red Eye Automation. This car is also a mobile Wi-Fi hot spot utilizing an AutoNet mobile device. A further inspection of the interior reveals more tools and pit equipment as well. Molded into the center console, you will find a spot for a Snap-on wireless impact gun, and further back you will find a set of jack stands and two spare tires and wheels. This car truly has everything you may need to perform a pit stop in style.
Surely you can’t go through all of this trouble to make the world’s coolest pit cart and not beef up the mechanics. Anyone who has ever lifted up a tool box full of tools or a floor jack knows these things aren’t lightweight, so to compensate CARTEL had to beef up the suspension. An AccuAir airbag suspension setup was chosen for the task. The airbags can support the extra weight while maintaining a comfortable ride and adding the ability to slam the car to the ground for even more style points. The car was also mini-tubbed in the rear in order to fit 19x9.5” Lorenzo WL028 wheels in the back wrapped in 265/30/19 Toyo Proxes 4 tires. The front also features Lorenzo WL208 wheels in a smaller 18x8” fitment wrapped in 215/35/18 Toyo Proxes tires. Wilwood was tasked with stopping the world’s coolest toolbox with a big brake kit featuring 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers and 12-inch rotors. The only part of this car not heavily modified was the engine and drivetrain, which features an upgraded ACT clutch and Torco oils. Who needs an upgraded engine though when pit lane speed limits are just 10mph?
