The first time Kyle Parker saw a Honda CRX, he was immediately hooked. There was something special about that quirky little sports car that captured his attention, and the fact that the interior felt like a spaceship sealed the deal for him. After a test drive, he knew he had to have one. Years later, the 1990 Honda CRX Si you see here is one of several he had owned before it, but this is the one he would go all-out with.
Parker knows that the chassis is getting rarer and rarer by the day, and that a clean example is harder to find than ever. That commitment to cleanliness would be the basis of his 1990 Si build, but keeping it stock was most certainly not an option for him. Parker’s recipe was to combine reliability, style, and performance all in one beautiful CRX build, made specifically to drop jaws on the show floor.
After restoring the car to proper form, he started modifying heavily. A B18 engine swap, MST MT11 wheels, BC Racing BR Series custom super low coilovers, and a Euro spec front bumper are among the most appealing, and everything was put together with care. Influenced by other show cars that have really impressed him, Parker is always looking to improve his CRX.
He also wants to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Nick Parise at Locally Hated Photography for hooking him up with a photoshoot for this feature, and also a huge shout out to Dylan Hawley at Lagacy Auto Detailing for hooking it up with a full detail on the CRX for the photoshoot!
