27WON Performance has released a new 4-piston front brake caliper upgrade for select 10th- and 11th-generation Honda Civic models and the 2023+ Acura Integra.
Designed to sit between a conventional pad-and-rotor upgrade and a complete big brake kit, the new setup replaces the factory floating front calipers with fixed 4-piston calipers while retaining the applicable factory-size front rotors and factory brake lines.
Each fixed caliper uses four opposing pistons to apply pressure to the brake pads from both sides of the rotor. According to 27WON, the setup is intended to provide more consistent pressure across the brake pad along with improved brake response and modulation.
The kit includes two anodized 27WON fixed 4-piston front calipers, 27WON Blue Sport Street front brake pads, caliper mounting brackets and installation hardware. Buyers can choose from Sunset Orange, Metallic Crimson or Stealth Black finishes.
27WON also says the new setup saves nearly six pounds compared with the factory caliper setup. The included Sport Street pads are intended primarily for street use and spirited driving. Because the calipers use a different brake pad shape than the company’s complete big brake kits, 27WON offers replacement and alternative pad options specifically for the new caliper platform.
The 4-piston caliper upgrade is designed for 1.5-liter turbocharged 2016-2021 10th-generation Honda Civic models, 2022+ 11th-generation Honda Civic models, and 2023+ Acura Integra Base and A-Spec models.
For drivers requiring greater heat capacity under repeated hard braking, 27WON continues to offer its complete big brake kits with larger 330mm x 28mm two-piece rotors, forged 4-piston calipers and stainless-steel brake lines.
