ACT Releases SFI-Approved 10.5” Mod-Twin for 2024-2026 Ford Mustang GT
Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has released a full range of SFI-approved 10.5-inch Mod-Twin Style Clutch Kits for the 2024-2026 Ford Mustang GT. Designed for increased torque capacity, durability, and drivability, the new clutch systems are engineered for both street and racing applications.
The ACT Mod-Twin system features a 10.5-inch twin-disc design paired with the company’s Mono-Drive modular hub system. A forged aluminum cover and Chromoly XACT Streetlite flywheel help reduce rotating mass, with the complete kit weighing 49 pounds compared to the OEM 60-pound clutch and flywheel assembly.
ACT says the clutch kits are designed to support a wide range of power adders, including superchargers, turbocharger systems, and nitrous applications. Depending on the selected configuration, the Mod-Twin can support up to 1,496 lb-ft of torque while maintaining drivability and serviceability.
The Street versions of the Mod-Twin clutch are designed for everyday use, offering light pedal effort and quiet operation while supporting up to 1,169 lb-ft of torque. ACT’s HD, XT, and XX Race variants are built for drag racing, road racing, and rally applications where higher torque capacity and durability are required.
The modular design allows users to configure the clutch system using multiple clamp load options, alternate friction plates, and either sprung or rigid Mono-Drive hubs. ACT also notes that the Mono-Drive hub system increases spline life and overall durability compared to conventional twin-disc clutch designs.
Each kit includes the Chromoly XACT Streetlite flywheel, clutch hardware, and alignment tool for installation using the factory-style mounting configuration.
