Founded in 2002, R1 Concepts is among the newer brands of brakes on the marketplace, but not without their fair share of experience in motorsports and aftermarket applications. When we reached out for an unboxing, they upped the ante. Not only would they send us the performance brake package for our in-house Lexus ES350, but they would also include an OE-replacement set for our CEO's minivan. In addition to a nice upgrade for some of the guys in the office, this also gave us a chance to compare the differences between the two rotor options in the R1 Concepts Geo-Carbon series. The performance kit for the Lexus ES350 included drilled & slotted rotors, while the OE replacement set would include blank Geo-Carbon series rotors. They also included brake pads, awesome high-quality hardware, and more!
