At this year’s SEMA show, Akrapovic revealed further expansion of its aftermarket range of premium performance car exhaust systems – a step which has enhanced the manufacturer’s reputation as the ultimate exhaust system specialist for the world’s top performance cars. New products include: the BMW 1 Series M Coupé, currently seen and heard as the MotoGP safety car; the Audi R8 5.2 FSI Coupé/Spyder ; the Lamborghini Gallardo; and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Akrapovic, the leading manufacturer of premium performance exhaust systems for motorcycles and cars, has also confirmed that future performance exhaust systems will soon be launched for the BMW M5, Porsche 911 (991) Carrera, and Porsche Cayenne.
In a further exciting announcement, Akrapovi? revealed that it is collaborating with leading sports car specialist ALPINA on the new BMW ALPINA B6 Bi-Turbo, which will feature a titanium Akrapovi? exhaust system as standard. This is one of many joint projects with specialist automobile manufacturers and upscale OEMs in which the exhaust system and carbon fibre manufacturer is involved.
SEMA also served as a launch-pad for some neat additions to the Akrapovi? range of accessories. Among these was the Wireless Kit, available for selected models, which enables the driver to adjust the sound of the performance exhaust while driving.
Also on show were some of the Slovenian company’s stunning Exhaust Tips in both carbon fibre and titanium – features which add real ‘bling’ to any performance car. Indeed, carbon fibre tips for the BMW M3 may well be this year’s must-have accessory.
Akrapovic entered the car sector in 2008, following two hugely successful decades working in the motorcycle industry, and has already forged an enviable reputation. It has built a solid reputation as a leader in this field, one built on the application of the best in design, technology, and materials, especially in the use of titanium, stainless steel, and carbon fibre.
