Prostate Cancer Canada's Rock the Road Raffle at the 2020 Canadian International AutoShow will be giving away not one, but two 2020 Toyota GR Supras to one lucky winner. The cars, valued at more than $152,000, are graciously donated by the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association.
In most cases, two is better than one.
When we talk about the annual Rock the Road Raffle, a major fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Canada, two is most definitely better than one. For the eighth raffle, to be held at the Canadian International AutoShow next February, one lucky winner will take home not one, but two 2020 Toyota Supras — a GR Supra Nocturnal (black) and GR Supra Renaissance (red). Graciously donated by the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA), the prize is valued at more than $152,000.
“Rock the Road Raffle ticket purchasers continue to make a huge difference for Canadian families facing prostate cancer,” says Peter Coleridge, President and Chief Executive Officer, Prostate Cancer Canada. “Every raffle since 2013 has sold out, and the cars keep getting more impressive. For the first time this year, one lucky winner will receive two amazing cars – and double the bragging rights.”
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian men. One in nine will be diagnosed, meaning an average of 63 Canadians are diagnosed every day — and 11 are lost. Created 25 years ago, Prostate Cancer Canada has contributed to the death rate being cut by half during that time – with a commitment to save and improve more lives.
The previous seven Rock the Road Raffles raised $2.5 million that Prostate Cancer Canada has used to enhance the quality of life of all Canadians affected by the disease through collaboration, driving world-class research and translating knowledge into better outcomes. There are 30,000 tickets available this year, anticipated to raise $600,000.
“Each year, the TADA comes through with an amazing vehicle, or in this case vehicles, to support the incredible work done by Prostate Cancer Canada,” says Susan Gubasta, President of the TADA. “With a limited number of tickets available, the chances of winning this pair of Supras are favourable. And you can feel good about buying a ticket knowing that you are supporting hundreds of thousands of families directly impacted by prostate cancer.”
Previous raffles have given away a Camaro ZL1, Corvette Stingray 3LT, Mustang GT, Audi S5, Dodge Hellcat Challenger, Porsche Carrera Cabriolet and, last year, an Acura NSX.
The 2020 Toyota GR Supra is loaded with a 335 HP Turbocharged Inline-6 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It is performance engineered to deliver a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour. Off the line, it will get up to 96 kilometres per hour in 4.1 seconds.
The Rock the Road Raffle draw will take place between noon and 1 p.m. on Friday, February 21st, 2020 at the Canadian International Autoshow.
Tickets for Rock the Road Raffle cost $25 each or three for $60. They are available until February 20that 9:30 p.m. For details on buying tickets, please visit RockTheRoadRaffle.ca.
