Toronto, Canada (May, 3) - Recognized as North America’s leading tuner publication, Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG) has reached an agreement on a partnership with the new RPM Event Series. RPM is the latest show series to hit the show circuit however RPM has one major advantage over the field in the fact that it is the new show creation by Rich Goodwin who was also the sole creator of Hot Import Nights (HIN).
Under Rich’s command, HIN took the industry by storm and was the single largest factor in the success of the tuning industry in the late 90’s and through the mid 2000’s. After many successful seasons playing host to hundreds of thousands of fans across the nation Rich sold HIN in 2004 and left the industry.
“Since Rich’s departure, the show landscape has changed dramatically and so too has the industry. We realize that the industry is driven by good quality car shows, car shows that inspire people, bring new fans in and give old one’s a reason to stay. As these shows travel the nation they drive business at the retail level and that is a winning recipe for success for all of us. We have kept our eye on RPM and we have heard the overwhelming response for this show by our fans. It is clear that RPM is destined to be the next big thing and we want to be a part of it and support it in any way we can”, said Dave Pankew, Editorial Director at PASMAG.
The partnership includes full page advertising for RPM through the rest of the show season, guaranteed editorial coverage of each RPM event, provides RPM with its own section of the PASMAG website for sponsors, car owners,, models, exhibitors and fans, free one year subscriptions of PASMAG for all pre-registered competitors and a cooperative promotional effort via each others’ social media sites.
“This partnership is exactly what this industry needs. PASMAG is an aggressive company that is extremely nimble and works with their partners to achieve the best results through the innovative use of new media, social networking and their successful print brand. We are proud to have PASMAG as partners”, said Rich Goodwin of RPM.
RPM Events is storming onto the scene in 2010 touching some of the hottest markets in the U.S. The show will kick things off in Chicago at Soldier field on Saturday July 10th with Goodwins’s signature nighttime production. After Chicago RPM heads to the old time fan favorite Hidden Valley Event Park in Southern California on August 7th for a daytime festival which includes a Carnival set inside this abandoned and now restored theme park. The event then moves indoors for a full nighttime indoor production at Dallas’ Market Hall on Saturday September 4th and winds up at San Mateo Expo Center on October 9th.
