What does the best home-cooking restaurants, the most beautiful mountain scenery, and Slammedenuff's most popular show of the year have in common? They're all located within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park's gateway town, Gatlinburg, Tennessee!
This is the second year that Slammedenuff has taken over Gatlinburg. With the show car spots selling out almost immediately, an additional show day, filled with a whole different set of cars, had to be added. It was amazing to see how much bigger this event has grown over the course of a year.
Although the actual show was not until Saturday and Sunday, people from all over were arriving as early as Thursday in order to enjoy this gorgeous town before everyone else. Coming into town early only guarantees that you will get to enjoy the mountains and attractions without having to share your fun with tourists or other show-goers.
The pre-meet set the vibe for how the weekend was going to be. The setting sun was vibrant and incredible, thus, welcoming photographers from all over the country to the flare-filled photo opportunities. While the majority of people were simply walking around, looking at cars and catching up with close friends, a few risk-takers could be seen hanging halfway out the window just to capture that perfect rolling shot nearby.
Day one of Slammedenuff Gatlinburg, better known as SE Gatlinburg, featured some of the industry's most down-to-earth vendors. Some of the favorites of the weekend include Grip Royal, FUNKfashion, MHT/Rotiform Wheels, Vaded Mob, and AirdOut. These amazing vendors work diligently to provide show-goers with high-quality merchandise they expect at an event hosted by Slammedenuff.
The night life in this beautiful town is nothing short of amazing. It doesn't matter if you are visiting the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum, browsing through the countless different flavors of moonshine at the local distillery, or just getting "lit" with people you've met through social media and exploring downtown, you will more than likely not remember anything the next morning and probably be late for your 9 a.m. roll-in time.
Day two of the show brought a completely different set of show cars to the venue, including cars from impressive crews, such as Stature, Violent Clique, and Vaded Mob. A one-day show is hectic enough, let alone two, but the Slammedenuff staff pulled it off without a single hiccup. The last day of the show was packed due to the massive amounts of tourists whom were curious as to why these cars' wheels were "tilty."
Moments before the winners were announced, a whole set of Klutch wheels, an Airlift Performance V3P management, and care packages from various vendors were raffled off. This year, the most coveted award, Best Crew, went to Vaded Mob. These guys brought some of the most notable cars and, most importantly, came with friendly vibes and positive attitudes.
Not only does this show bring some of the best builds from all over the country, it brings like-minded people together for an all-around chill weekend full of automotive awesomeness.
