Oxnard, Calif. – (June 15, 2020) – SCOSCHE Industries (pronounced skōsh/skohsh), innovators of award-winning consumer technology is pleased to announce the arrival of the newest addition to their line of Smart Full HD Dash Cameras powered by Nexar®. These dash cams are part of Scosche’s SafeTech™ line of products designed to make driving safer.
Equipped with a 140° Wide-angle lens, 1080p Full HD SONY® Starvis® Image Sensor, for ultra low-light visibility, the front-facing camera turns on automatically when you start driving and stops when you do. A reliable and fast WiFi connects the camera to your phone, and automatically backs up significant incidents to your personal Nexar Cloud.
The NEXS1 has a high-precision G-Sensor that detects impacts and it’s Parking Mode records and saves video of incidents and impacts that occur when you (and your phone) are not in your vehicle.
NEXS1 is available with either a 32B or 64GB micro-SD card, which is expandable up to 256GB, and each of these models is available with either an automotive grade adhesive strip or suction-cup mount to secure it to your windshield. Each model comes with a dual-port car adapter and power cable, as well as hardware harness and installation accessories.
“When people pair a smart Nexar dash cam with the Nexar app, they join our connected network, where every vehicle is learning in real time about its surroundings thanks to other vehicles around it. Hard brakes, collisions, oncoming traffic — it’s a virtuous circle of information sharing.” – Nexar
The NEXS1 works with your smartphone and the free Nexar safe driving app (iOS and Android) to record your drive and capture significant events. The Nexar app is used by drivers worldwide and comes with 24/7 customer support.
Nexar offers features like 1-Click™ reporting to submit an incident report directly to participating insurance companies and integrates with Siri Shortcuts for an enhanced user experience. The NEXS1 offers auto-loop recording and retention of driving events, utilizing the included Micro-SD card (which is expandable up to 256GB), and automatically deletes footage from the camera once it uploads to the Cloud, freeing up storage space.
Nexar’s “Groups” feature allows members of a group, such as a family, to know when a group member is driving, and provides immediate notification, including location, if they are involved in an accident. The feature-rich NEXS1 Dash Cameras, which debuted at the 2019 SEMA show, are now in stock and available for purchase at: Scosche.com, getnexar.com, amazon.com, costco.com, Best Buy, AT&T and crutchfield.com. They will also soon be available at Car Toys.
