Metra’s Axxess division adds new firmware to the already feature packed ASWC-1. The new firmware, available for download on www.axxessinterface.com will give the ASWC-1 the ability to program dual commands to steering wheel control buttons. All the audio buttons on the steering wheel with the exception of the volume UP/DOWN are automatically programmed for a primary and secondary function through our Auto Detect sequence. An example is the Seek up/down buttons can now both seek from station to station or by holding a second longer can skip from preset to preset. Don’t like what’s preprogrammed? Take a few short steps to manually program the buttons to do your bidding. The ASWC-1 directly plugs into the Axxess radio replacement interfaces for as close to plug and play as it gets, saving not only time, but costly errors in the installation bays. All wiring is done behind the radio (never need to get into the steering column) and there is only one part #, no need for additional CAN BUS interfaces. The best part is your current inventory can be updated using a USB to MICRO B cable (same as your Android phone charger) right in the store.
