OZ Racing Revives the Legendary RR40 Wheel

OZ Racing has introduced the RR40, a modern reinterpretation of its legendary Rally Racing wheel design that draws from four decades of motorsport history. Available in 17- and 18-inch sizing, the RR40 brings one of the brand’s most recognizable competition-inspired wheels back to the street.

The RR40 design traces its roots back to the original Rally Racing wheel first introduced in 1986. Over the years, the design appeared on iconic competition vehicles including the Audi 80 Group A rally car, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Lancia Delta Integrale, Alfa Romeo 155 DTM, BMW E30 DTM, Ford Sierra Cosworth, and Escort Cosworth.

While staying true to the original multi-spoke layout, the RR40 incorporates updated styling details including a redesigned center section with integrated lightening holes for a more technical and contemporary appearance. OZ says the wheel was developed to preserve the character of the original design while adapting it for modern performance applications.

The RR40 is manufactured using a Low Pressure casting process and Al Si 7 aluminum alloy construction, with 18-inch versions also featuring OZ’s HLT technology. The wheel is compatible with TPMS and Run Flat systems and carries TÜV, NAD, VIA, and JWL certifications.

Available specifications include diameters ranging from 17 to 18 inches, widths from 7 to 9 inches, offsets between ET20 and ET53, and both 4-lug and 5-lug fitments.
