Keith Jarvis has had years of experience building and showcasing different show cars, but his latest creation is something unlike we’ve ever seen before. Despite a lack of prominent aftermarket support for the Chrysler 300M, Jarvis wanted to take the under-used and under-appreciated platform to show-worthy levels, and he’s managed to go well above and beyond what most people consider show-worthy. However, the road here wasn’t an easy one.
“After being involved in such a devastating car accident and losing a newly built show car, I was frustrated, confused, and pretty deflated,” he writes, telling us about the time his Mercedes C300 was written off in a tragic accident. “Losing a show car in the way that I did was one of the hardest things I’ve been through.” Luckily for him, and us, Jarvis isn’t the quitting type. He took his frustration and channeled that energy into creativity for his next project.
“I always thought the 300M Special would make a great show car and I wanted to be the one to do it. Having already known its stock features from owning one new in 2002, I had plenty of ideas on how to take it to the next level.” With a repertoire of build experience, and a thorough knowledge of the platform, his newest 300M project was underway in no time. Most of the modifications to the 300M, now dubbed “M-Pressive”, began in April 2015 with the air ride setup, custom trunk, and some lighting mods.
Through careful planning, something Jarvis stresses as utterly important in the execution of the build, he brought the 300M to new heights, literally and figuratively. With a crazy trunk setup that includes a waterfall and a custom enclosure, and a completely overhauled interior, the Chrysler has changed as much on the inside as it has on the outside.
What makes this build especially impressive is the amount of custom work that went into it, something that Jarvis takes pride in, and also encourages others to entertain. “Don’t get turned off by not having bolt-on options – it’s truly customized when you can’t just order a part and install it,” he says. “Take the challenge and you won’t be disappointed with the outcome.” We couldn’t agree more.
