Morris Jager, owner of this Mazda FC3S RX-7, along with many Mazda RX-7 owners, are presented with some challenges when tuning the 13B rotary engine.
Jager first rebuilt the 13B but then there was a black-out period on his Instagram feed. He then reappeared and posted this 1JZ motor, which was used to swap the 13B. He mated it to an AR-5 transmission, a popular choice, then added some power with the help of a Competition turbo. After some fun was had with the 1JZ, Moritz made the decision to upgrade to a 2JZ setup!
During this lengthy 2JZ build process, he customized the driver’s side taillight with cool slant LED bars w/ a wig wag module to simulate the turn signals. He added Pandem wide overfenders and body kit, prepped for paint, and a Custom root beer brown peelable paint by “the spray source” and “alpha pigments”, and installed by “get dipped services” was the result.
Moritz dropped the FC3S with Fortune Auto 500 coilovers and now rolls on new Kansei wheels.
Look at the rear; it has an exposed bash bar and a cryptopunk aesthetic that works pretty nicely.
As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 4) on REV TV.
