An Ode to JDM Tuning

Inspired by the OGs of modifying the FR-S / BRZ / 86 platform, Anthony Gonzales knew that the FR-S was a chassis with unmatched aftermarket support—and that meant lots of options to take his build in any direction he wanted. After seeing countless widebody FR-S builds come together, he wanted to do something along those lines, but make it different and unique to his own tastes.
The exterior is made up of a combination of Rocket Bunny V1 and V2 kits, Rallybacker front bumper pieces on a facelifted bumper swap, and an NIA Auto Design front lip. It was carefully crafted and modified piece by piece to blend together seamlessly and create a one-of-a-kind aero kit based on some of the most popular styles Gonzales admired before starting the build. Complementing the styles of each piece is a Seibon TS carbon fiber hood, custom lights, and a beautiful red vinyl wrap. The FR-S is clearly visibly modified, yet looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor with the fit and finish of all the panels.
As an ode to the JDM tuning scene that shaped his taste in cars, Gonzales threw some Pandem 6666 wheels on his FR-S, and styled his interior with the same elements you would find in drift cars and JDM street builds of years past. His combination of a unique vision for a popular platform and his clean execution on that vision wowed our staff with his submission and earned him a rightful feature in PASMAG.
