The 2013 Hyundai Veloster wasn’t a very popular car. It's in the “hot hatch” category with quirky styling queues, and an asymmetric design - 1 door on the driver’s side, 2 doors on the passenger side. They are a lot of fun to drive, especially in the Turbo trim. Hyundai kept it affordable for entry level enthusiasts. The 3rd door gives you access to the rear seats, but there’s not a whole lot of room in there.
It’s an affordable turbo hatchback, so it gives enthusiasts a little more room in their pockets to customize it. That’s what Shawn Versluis did to his very own 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. And if you don’t have any plans for more than 1 passenger, and want to have the ultimate show car, delete the rear seats and add an extended rear seat to trunk setup!
Modifications to highlight: (2) 10" Focal Flax subwoofers, Focal FPX-5 1200 amplifier, Focal FSP-8 DSP, Pierce Motorsports 4 point cage, LED GLOW interior lighting, Custom built trunk/back seat by Brian Reimer Audio (Winnipeg, MB).
This new setup adds a “little bit” of extra weight but Shawn now has a “complete” hot hatch!
As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 5) on REV TV.
